Twenty-five years across accounting, investigations and software, all circling the same instinct: does this data hold up? Today I'm building Acuvant, where the discipline of reconciliation becomes software that catches what people miss.
Acuvant
An accounting data integrity platform for Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks users. Acuvant validates financial data, runs reconciliation logic, and flags the inconsistencies that slip past manual review, turning real-world accounting requirements into system-level rules.
A career run in parallel
Not a straight line. Several ventures built and run at the same time, each one sharpening the same discipline. They've since reconciled into a single focus.
The thread
I'm a degree-qualified accountant, with a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University, who started in construction and retail finance, building automated payroll and surviving the MYOB and GST transitions firsthand.
For over a decade I ran a private investigations practice, where the entire job was verification: gathering information, checking whether it held up, and reporting it cleanly. Later I built and ran an AUSTRAC-registered digital currency exchange, with the compliance, KYC and monitoring that demands. Different industries, same instinct: find what doesn't reconcile.
